Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) establishes the identity of the sender while filing or sending documents electronically through the internet. Similar to how a handwritten signature establishes the identity and/or consent of the signee in a paper document, a digital signature certificate establishes the identity and/or of the signee in electronic documents. In India, all Government Departments accept digitally signed documents from CCA like eMudhra, Sify, N-Code, etc.

Class 2 or Class 3 Digital signatures with a validity of 2 or 3 years can be purchased online from e-Digital Sign through a completely online process. Type of Certificates

  • Sign

    Sign DSC can only be used for signing documents. The most popular usage of is signing the PDF file for Tax Returns, MCA and other websites. Signing via DSC gives the assurance of not only the integrity of the signer but also the data. It is proof of untampered and unaltered data.

  • Encrypt

    Encrypt DSC can only be used to encrypt a document, it is popularly used in the tender portal, to help companies encrypt the documents and upload. You could also use the certificate to encrypt and send classified information. Encrypt DSC is fit for e-commerce documents, legal documentation and sharing documents that are highly confidential and contains information that needs to be protected. We are selling Encrypt certificate as a standalone product as well.

  • Sign & Encrypt

    Our Sign & Encrypt DSC can be used for both signing and encrypting. It is convenient for users who need to authenticate and maintain the confidentiality of the information shared. Its usage includes filing government form and application.

Classes of Certificates

The IT law allows us three Classes of DSC, however we only sell Class 2 and Class 3 certificates. We are not selling Class 1 Certificates.

  • Class 2 Digital Signature Certificate

Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate can be issued to any individual as well as organizations. Class DSC is generally utilized to verify the identity of suppliers and buyers both in e-bidding, e-procurement, e-Tendering etc. Class 3 Digital signature certificates are high level of certificate which is mainly issued on the physical appearance of any individual in front of certifying authority. Class 3 DSC is valid for only 2 years. When you do any e-filing on MCA web portal then class 3 Digital signature certificates is required to authenticate the identity of the applicant.

There are plenty of export and import organization which are doing business around you but they are only liable to do the business when they abide the law and obligations imposed by Director General of Foreign trade which is supreme authority to issue license and DGFT digital signature certificate for foreign trade. EXIM (export and import organization) can apply for license in DGFT website. For that they need to upload required document in the DGFT website and we know that Digital signature certificate is the digital identity of any individual or business person so DGFT has made it mandatory to every EXIM organization to upload DSC in their website.

Processing Methods

We have three different verification methods for acquiring the Digital signature certificate.

    • Traditional

      In traditional method applicant has to fill a form with requirements covering type, validity, usage, usableby etc. Attested photocopies of Address proof, ID, PAN, etc. should be attached along with the form. Applicant has to sign the form and fill all the mandatory requirements(Only Class 3 DSC and DGFT DSC).

    • Paperless DSC:
      • Aadhar-based e-KYC Verification DSC

        Aadhaar based Paperless DSC is an easy and fastest way to make DSC. The whole process of Paperless DSC will save your time, money, efforts and it is totally authenticated. Aadhaar Paperless DSC is based on “Aadhaar Paperless Offline e-KYC”(only class 2 DSC).

      • PAN-based e-KYC Verification DSC

        By opting for Paperless PAN-based e-KYC DSC, the applicant is able to significantly reduce costs. The greatest advantage of this Pan-based e-KYC however, is that one can apply for this type of DSC anytime or anywhere, giving the applicant the gift of global convenience.
